HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Hobart golf first-year Aman Dhiman was named to the NCAA Division III PING All-Region II Team, the NCAA and GCAA announced over the weekend. Dhiman was one of 105 student-athletes representing 58 schools that earned all-region honors this season.

Dhiman is just the second Statesman in program history to be selected to the all-region team and first since Dillon Sass '14 earned the recognition in 2014. Along with the all-region recognition, Dhiman earned one Liberty League Rookie of the Week award as well as the Rookie Award for Golf at the department's Block H Awards.

The first-year from Kingston, Jamaica, led Hobart with a 73.9 stroke average in 14 rounds of golf this season. Dhiman had five top 10 finishes in his rookie season, including a victory in the Oswego Fall Invitational after finishing five under par at the two-day tournament. On Day 2 of the invitational, Dhiman shot a season-best 68, which was three under par, helping him secure his first collegiate win. He opened his collegiate career with a seventh-place finish at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational and followed that up with another top 10 finish at the St. Lawrence Fall Invitational the following week.

Dhiman concluded his rookie season with an impressive fourth place finish at the Liberty League Championships, leading the Statesmen to a third-place team finish. It was Hobart's best finish at a conference championship since 2005. After three days of competition, Dhiman finished even par.
