Six members of the William Smith tennis team were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 season. The Herons were also recognized with the ITA All-Academic Team Award for their outstanding work in the classroom.
 
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. To qualify for the All-Academic Team Award, a team GPA of 3.2 is required.
 
Since 2005, the Herons have garnered 92 ITA Scholar-Athlete awards. This is the 15th time William Smith has earned the team award.

William Smith went 8-11 this season, including a 3-5 record in conference play. The Herons clinched a spot in the Liberty League Tournament for the first time since 2019, where they ultimately fell to third-seeded St. Lawrence.
