Shawn Griffin will be inducted into the Little East Conference Hall of Fame. It will be his third hall of fame induction since 2019.

The LEC Hall of Fame Class of 2026 includes nine former student-athletes, a former head coach and one team. LEC Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will be hosted on each inductee's campus during the upcoming academic year.

Griffin was inducted into the Plymouth State Hall of Fame in 2019 and joined the Hobart Hall of Fame earlier this year.

Griffin was a four-year member of the Plymouth State men's soccer team, leading the Panthers to a 52-14-16 (.732) record and three NCAA tournament appearances. As a first-year, he helped Plymouth State rattle off a 20-game winning streak that carried the team all the way to the national semifinals. The team is widely considered the best in program history, finishing with a 20-2-0 record. Griffin capped his collegiate career with another deep postseason run, reaching the national quarterfinals.

Griffin's coaching career began at his alma mater in 1987. He also earned his first head coaching job at PSU, taking the reins in 1992. Griffin directed the Panthers to a 92-45-9 (.661) record across eight seasons. His Plymouth State teams finished atop the Little East standings five times, made three NCAA tournament appearances and three ECAC regional tournament appearances. Griffin coached five Panthers to All-America honors and five LEC Players of the Year.

Griffin was hired to serve as the Head Soccer Coach at Hobart ahead of the 2000 season. In 26 seasons, he has led the Statesmen to a 263-148-63 record, winning five Liberty League Tournament Championships. Griffin has guided Hobart to nine NCAA tournament appearances, engineering the program's deepest tournament run in 2008, advancing to the third round. He has mentored one All-American, four Liberty League Players of the Year and four Liberty League Rookies of the Year.

Griffin's career success has been recognized with three United Soccer Coaches Regional Coach of the Year awards, four LEC Coach of the Year awards and five Liberty League Coach of the Year honors.

In 33 seasons as a head coach, Griffin has compiled a record of 355-193-72 (.631). He is set to begin the 2026 season ninth among active Division III men's soccer coaches in career wins.
