The Melissa Mulliken '80 Award is presented to the William Smith student whose team participation and leadership in intercollegiate athletics, combined with off-the-field endeavors, has led to the advancement of William Smith athletics.
Melissa Mulliken '80 earned nine varsity letters in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse at William Smith College. She received numerous academic and athletics awards at the College, including being honored as the Outstanding Athlete in 1978. An active member of the Heron Society, she was the sports information director for the Colleges from 1980 through 1981.
