This award is presented to a senior whose career as a Hobart student-athlete has been exceptional and marked by dedication to our community, exceptional academic achievement, trustworthy leadership and dependability as a teammate. The recipient of this award will meet the highest standards of commitment to others, academic achievement and loyalty to his coaches and fellow Statesmen. The Hanna Award has been named and endowed through the generous loyalty of Bob and Lisa Arnold and honors the devotion of one of Hobart's most loyal fans, Mary Anne Hanna P'99 and the leadership of Mike Hanna '68, P'99, HON'04, director of Hobart athletics from 1981 to 2017. Bob Arnold and Mike Hanna have been teammates for life since coming to Hobart as freshmen in 1964.
