The William "Myles" Silverman '20 Award for Excellence is presented to a cross country, golf, tennis, sailing or squash student-athlete whose performance in his individual sport has been exceptional. The award is sponsored by the Office of Student Life and is named after Myles Silverman, Class of 2020, who represented Hobart College at the USCSA Collegiate National Championships in 2018, 2019 and 2020. He won all five snowboarding national championships he entered, earning five All-American awards. The first Hobart student to win a title in an individual sport, Silverman also competed on the international stage at the World University Games—reaching the finals of both the slalom and giant slalom—and two World Cups during his time at Hobart.
