The Thomas B. Poole '61, P'91, L.H.D. '06 Award is presented to a senior whose unwavering commitment and loyalty to his fellow teammates, program, and purpose is exceptional; whose humble yet steadfast character and leadership have been critical to the program's culture and success; who is a true color-bearer with unconditional love for Hobart Athletics and Hobart College, ensuring that the flag never touches the ground. This award was established to recognize the talents and, even more so, the exceptional character traits of a Hobart College student-athlete that embody the matching values of Thomas B. Poole's endless commitment to Hobart Athletics and the Colleges. The Thomas B. Poole '61 Award was created and endowed with the deepest respect by Hobart College coaches, former student-athletes, and special friends of Hobart Athletics.
