Baseball at Hobart College traces its origins to before the start of the Civil War. The first team was organized by the freshman class in 1860. The program was discontinued in 1995 due to campus budget cuts, but in 2023, the Statesmen returned to the diamond. With the bulk of the program's history before the digital age, Hobart baseball records are scattered and incomplete. The HWS Athletic Communications staff is working to build a more complete history of the program.
