Since 2000, Dr. Deborah Healy has served as the Hobart and William Smith Colleges’ physician. She oversees the Hubbs Health Center staff as well as the sports medicine staff, student-athlete physicals, and health and wellness issues for the entire student body.
Healy graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1992. She completed her residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Healy holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hamilton College.
In addition to her work for the Colleges, Healy is the director of hospice and palliative medicine at the Canandaigua Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. She also has practicing privileges at Clifton Springs Hospital and Geneva General Hospital.
