Bill Quinn

Now entering his sixth season as the head coach of the Hobart golf program, Bill Quinn has developing a reputation as a savvy coach with a keen eye for talent.

During his first five seasons with the Statesmen, Quinn led Hobart to 26 top-five tournament finishes and oversaw the meteoric development of All-Liberty League golfer Drew Slocum '06, who produced three tournament wins. In each of the past three seasons, Hobart has qualified for the highly competitive Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship Tournament.

A 1968 graduate of Niagara University, Quinn played both golf and basketball for the Purple Eagles. For seven years prior to joining the Statesmen, he was an adjunct professor at Finger Lakes Community College, teaching both business and physical education classes. Along with teaching golf at FLCC, Quinn also coached the Lakers’ men’s basketball team.

A licensed real estate broker since 1987, Quinn had previously served as director of athletics at St. Mary’s School in Canandaigua where he and his wife, Noreen, reside.
