Thompson was named first team All-Classic after leading the Hobart basketball team to a third place finish in the Wendy's College Classic. He averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 assists, and 2.7 rebounds as the Statesmen went 2-1. Thompson's best scoring effort of the week came against the University of Rochester, when he shared game-high honors with 21 points.
