Johnson recorded a career-high 3.5 sacks as the Statesmen clinched the Liberty League Championship with a 29-27 win over St. Lawrence. With half of his team's season-high seven sacks, Johnson and the Hobart defense limited the Saints to minus 6 yards rushing. He shared credit for a sack on the final drive of the game, an ill-fated SLU drive that came up 17 yards short of the end zone as time expired.
