Spallanzani dominated the faceoff X and doubled his career-high for ground balls in Saturday's 15-8 win over Mount St. Mary's. He won a career-high 20 faceoffs on 24 attempts (.833) and scooped up a game-high 12 ground balls. It's the most faceoff wins and most ground balls by a Statesman since Charles Sipe won 20 and collected a baker's dozen against Loyola in 2013. Spallanzani also played significant minutes as a short-stick defensive middie, helping limit the Mount to eight goals, including just three in the second half.
