Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

Okun competed as crew in two ICSA national championships for the HWS sailing team last week. She paired with Bailey Carter in A Division as William Smith finished third at the Sperry Women's National Championship and was a member of HWS' third place finish at the LaserPerformance Team Race National Championship. In the women's championship Carter and Okun won A Division by 25 points. Carter and Okun won six races in the championship, including four of the first five, more wins than any other team had combined between their A and B Division Boats. HWS was 19-8 in the LaserPerformance Team Race National Championship. They finished in a three-way tie for second place with Roger Williams and Georgetown. Following a sail-off, the Colleges were awarded second place on a tiebreaker, points won when tied teams met.
