Carraway placed third in a field of 18 sailors at the Carl Van Duyne Trophy, the MAISA Men's Singlehanded Championship, in Annapolis Md. this past weekend, clinching a spot in the College Sailing Singlehanded Nationals in Holland, Mich., Nov. 2-4. He finished the weekend with 56 points, one behind the runner up Thomas McCann and five behind the winner Leo Boucher. Carraway was in the top ten in 13 of the 14 races, collecting three victories and six second place finishes. He led the regatta after 10 races. Carraway won the Laser North Qualifier to begin his collegiate career.
