Atwater was a double winner for the Statesmen in Saturday's 7-2 win over Rochester. Playing in the No. 2 singles spot, he rallied to defeat Kai Yuminaga 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6). In the third set, Atwater fought off four match points and clinched the fifth and deciding victory for the Statesmen. In doubles play, he teamed with first-year Winter Fagerberg to win 8-4 in the No. 3 spot.
