ROCHESTER, N.Y.--The Hobart Statesmen's varsity eight defeated RIT in a time of 6:21.85 to RIT's 6:42.01 despite having one of its strongest rowers sidelined by injury.

"This team's ability to work together when faced with adversity speaks volumes about their determination to succeed," Head Coach Mike Guerrieri said.

Also, the Hobart JV8 won their scrimmage against RIT by 33 seconds, while the Frosh 4 won by over a minute.

The Statesmen return to action on April 19, at Colgate.
