New Haven, Conn.—The Hobart College squash team defeated Stanford University today 6-3, in their first match since Nov. 23, 2008. The Statesmen improve to 4-4 on the season.

Winning for Hobart was first-year Corey Kabot (Seaholm/Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), sophomore Grant Palermo (Avon Old Farms/Greenwich, Conn.), first-year Kevin Kent (Trinity-Pawling/New York, N.Y.), junior Craig Chircop (The Gow School/Northfield, Ill.), junior Alex Khaddar (Canterbury School/Brooklyn, N.Y.), and sophomore Carl Ranieri (Bronxville School/Bronxville, N.Y.). They swept spots four through nine, respectively.

The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, Jan. 17, when they take on Colby at 10:45 a.m. and Connecticut College at 6:15 p.m. Both matches will take place at Yale.
