PRINCETON, N.J.—The Hobart College squash team defeated Colgate 8-1 tonight, in the first round of the Conroy Cup. The top-seeded Statesmen improve to 7-10 on the season.

First-year Corey Kabot, sophomore Luke Esselen, senior Peter Hansen, junior Alex Khaddar, first-year Kevin Kent, junior Craig Chircop, and first-year George Riggs earned victories for the Statesmen, playing at No. 2-No. 8, respectively, while senior Kenny O'Connor picked up the default win at No. 9.

With the win, Hobart advances to the Conroy Cup semifinal round tomorrow, Feb. 21. The Statesmen will square off against fourth-seeded Stanford at 6 p.m.
