NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The Hobart College squash team dropped two tight matches today at the Yale/Wesleyan Round Robin. The Statesmen fell to Colby 5-4 this morning, and Connecticut College 5-4 this afternoon. Hobart now holds a 2-8 overall record.
Senior
Dane Evans and sophomore
Grant Bercari each posted two wins for the Statesmen. Evans won both of his matches at No. 6, while Bercari did the same at No. 9.
Against Colby, junior
Grant Palermo and sophomore
Willis Stephens were victorious at Nos. 4 and 8, respectively, while first-years
Daniel Pelaez and
Edgardo Gonzalez won at No. 2 and No. 7, respectively, vs. Connecticut College.
Hobart will be back in action tomorrow, Jan. 17, when the Statesmen take on Northeastern in their final match of the Yale/Wesleyan Round Robin at noon.
