Statesmen compete in Bent Creek Invitational

LITITZ, Pa.—
The Hobart golf team competed in the 18-hole Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall today. Sophomore Zach Lerman paced the Statesmen at the par 71 Bent Creek Country Club.

Lerman carded the lowest round of his collegiate career, posting an 84 on the 6,232-yard layout. He tied for 41st place in the 84-golfer field. Classmate Steve Dougherty was one stroke back, tied for 46th place.

Moravian's Thomas Fenyak earned individual medalist honors with an even par 71. The host Diplomats won the team title by seven strokes over the Greyhounds (308-315). Hobart was last out of 16 teams, six strokes behind 15th place Stevenson.

The Statesmen will close out their fall schedule on Oct. 17-18, when they compete in the Nazareth Invitational.
