Dillon Sass led the Hobart golf team in the 36-hole St. Lawrence Invitational this weekend. He finished 58th in the 77-golfer field.
On Saturday, Sass carded a seven-over 79 at the 6,673-yard St. Lawrence Golf Course. He closed with an 84. Classmate
Ben Ayres was the second Statesman in the clubhouse, finishing two strokes behind Sass. Ayers shot an opening round 89, but bounced back with a team best 76 today.
Waterloo University of Canada, led by medalist Garrett Rank (67-71), won the team title by 11 strokes over St. John Fisher. The host Saints, NYU, and Middlebury rounded out the top five.
Hobart will be back in action on Sept. 20, when the Statesmen compete in the Oswego Invitational.
