Tournament Results

BRADFORD, Pa.—
The Hobart golf team finished fourth out of 10 teams at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational on Saturday. At the par 72 Pine Acres Country Club, first-year Dillon Sass led the Statesmen finishing seventh in the 52-golfer field.

Playing in his first collegiate tournament, Sass negotiated the Pine Acres layout in an eight over 80, finishing just four strokes off the lead. Sophomore Steve Dougherty was the second Hobart golfer in the clubhouse, carding an 86 to tie for 16th place. Sophomore Zach Lerman (88) and senior Max Nugent (89) were close behind, tying for 23rd and 25th places, respectively.

Daemen won the team title with a score of 311 followed by Penn State Behrend White (332) and Penn State Berhend Blue (334). The Statesmen had a team score of 343, seven strokes ahead of the host Panthers. The Nittany Lions' Kevin Koerbel took home individual medalist honors with a round 76.

Hobart will be back on the links on Sept. 11-12, when the Statesmen compete in the St. Lawrence Invitational.
