CLINTON, N.Y.—
The Hobart golf team opened its spring season in a tie for sixth place at the Hamilton Invitational. First-years Ben Ayres and Dillon Sass paced the Statesmen at the par 72 Skenandoa Golf Club.

On the links for the first time since early October, Ayers and Sass both carded 81s to finish in a tie for 21st place in a field of 63 golfers. For Ayers, it was his best tournament placing of the academic year. Senior Kevin Miller was one stroke back and tied for 27th place.

Hobart logged a team score of 329, matching conference rival Clarkson. The host Continentals won the 12-team tournament by three strokes over Keystone (306-309).

The Statesmen will be back in action on Monday, April 18, when they compete in the Franklin & Marshall Invitational in Lancaster, Pa.
