GENEVA, N.Y.—The Heron tennis team breezed to a 9-0 win over visiting Brockport in a match played on the indoor courts in Bristol Field House this afternoon. William Smith improves to 12-3 this season, and the Golden Eagles are now 5-10.

Junior Joanie Hilton and sophomore Kiara Ocasio paired up for an 8-2 win at the top doubles spot. The duo of junior #Jess McCue and junior Katie Serock earned their second win in as many days defeating their Brockport opponents 8-4 at No. 2. Sophomore Hallsey Leighton and sophomore Remy Raevsky# blanked their competition 8-0 at No. 3.

In singles play, senior Amanda Slack triumphed over Mackenzie Rounds, 6-2, 6-0 at the top spot. It was her 10th victory at No. 1 singles this season. Junior Casey Kennedyand first-year Kate O'Connor each picked up 6-1, 6-0 wins at Nos. 2 and 4, respectively. Senior Melissa Slack posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2. First-year Casey Nicoletti defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5, and first-year Ellie deMuth earned her first win of the season 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

The Herons will be back in action April 21 when they host Geneseo at 4 p.m.
