NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The Hobart College squash team dropped two matches on the second day of the 2012 Yale Round Robin. The Statesmen are now 8-8 this season.
Hobart started the day with a 7-2 loss to Colby. First-year
McGee O'Neil rallied for a 12-10, 7-11, 7-11, 11-8, 11-9 at No. 3. Senior
Kevin Kent came out on top of a close match at No 4. He defeated his Mule opponent 11-9, 8-11, 11-9, 10-12, 11-8.
The Statesmen lost their second match of the day 8-1 to Connecticut College. Junior
Julian Snider recorded a win for Hobart at No. 7. He defeated Mike Coscarelli 11-8, 2-11, 11-3, 11-5, 11-9. At Nos. 2 and 8 junior
Daniel Pelaez and senior
Grant Bercari were edged in five-game matches, respectively.
The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow when they wrap up the Yale Round Robin with a match against Wesleyan at 11:30 a.m.
