The Hobart lacrosse team, fresh off an 11-6 win at Cansius on Tuesday, will head to Fairfield, Conn., to begin ECAC Lacrosse League play against the 16th-ranked Stags on Saturday, March 24. Just the eighth meeting between the two schools, Hobart will be looking to even the series after posting an 8-7 win in Geneva last season.
The game will feature the top two faceoff men in the country. Hobart senior
Bobby Dattilo sits atop the national ranking with a .718 success rate and Fairfield sophomore Michael Roe is second at .652. The two did not square off in last season's game that saw Dattilo win 10-of-17 at the X. Roe is in his first season at Fairfield after transferring from Drexel.
The Stags are looking to rebound from their first loss of the season, a 12-6 setback at Colgate last Saturday. They rank in the top 20 in the nation in scoring offense (10.75 gpg) and defense (8.75 gapg).
