The William Smith tennis team won its fifth straight dual match, topping Calvin 7-2 this afternoon. After finishing their spring break trip with a perfect 3-0 record, the Herons are now 5-0 overall.

William Smith came out of doubles action up 2-1. Senior Kiara Ocasio and sophomore Teru Greene earned an 8-5 win at the top spot. They lead the Herons with a 13-3 overall doubles mark. Juniors Kate O'Connor and Casey Nicoletti topped their opponents 8-2 at No. 3. The pair are a perfect 5-0 in dual matches.

Greene recorded a 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles. Nicoletti downed her opponent 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 for her eighth singles win this year. Senior Hallsey Leighton logged a 6-1, 6-3 triumph at No. 3. Wolf also logged her eighth win, 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4. First-year Charlotte Federowicz registered a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 6. She leads William Smith with a 10-3 singles record.

The Herons will be back in action on March 24, when they travel to take on Rochester at noon.
