ResultsThe William Smith tennis team closed out the regular season with its third straight win, defeating Ithaca 7-2 this afternoon at the HWS Tennis Center. The Herons, who are ranked No. 17 in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, improved to 13-4 overall, while the Bombers fell to 12-6.

Casey Nicoletti. She is 47-21 in singles and 32-16 in doubles in her Heron career.

Webster posted her second win of the day at No. 6 (6-0, 6-0) and Hartmann picked up a 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5 to give the Herons a 4-1 advantage. Sophomore
Charlotte Federowicz clinched the overall victory for William Smith with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at No. 4. The Bombers made it 5-2 with a win at the top singles spot. Wolf registered a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2, and Nicoletti logged her 13th singles victory this season, winning 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3.
The Herons will be the No. 5 seed in the Liberty League tournament and will take on No. 4 Rensselaer in their first round match on Saturday, April 26 at St. Lawrence at 11 a.m.
