Nine members of the national champion William Smith soccer team earned a spot on the 2013 Liberty League All-Academic team.
To be considered for All-Academic honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average.
The following Herons received all-academic honors:
- Madeline Buckley, Jr., critical social studies
- Chelsea Dunay, Sr., health sciences
- Zoe Eth, So., undeclared
- Amanda Faherty, Jr., psychology
- Brenna Kincaid, Jr., public policy studies
- Riley McCarthy, Jr., anthropology and sociology
- Caitlyn Mitchell, Jr., biology
- MaryClaire Pelletier, Jr., health sciences & Spanish and Hispanic studies
- Olivia Zitoli, Sr., history
Eight of the nine recipients have been named All-Academic for the second year in a row, including Dunay and Zitoli who have now been named All-Academic three consecutive years. Dunay and Zitoli were also tabbed NSCAA Scholar All-Americans this year and Zitoli was named the Liberty League's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
William Smith finished 23-1-0 overall in 2013, winning the NCAA DIII Women's Soccer National Championship. The Herons won the Liberty League title for the seventh consecutive year and made their 24th appearance in the NCAA tournament.
