Third-seeded Hobart College will host two opening round games of the 50th annual Wendy's College Classic. On Wednesday, Dec. 2, No. 4 Brockport and No. 5 Rochester will tip off in the first contest at 6 p.m. followed by the Statesmen against No. 6 Roberts Wesleyan at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for general admission, $2 for students, senior citizens, and veterans. Children under 8 are admitted free.
Nazareth will host the other two opening round games, No. 1 St. John Fisher vs. No. 8 RIT and No. 2 Geneseo vs. No. 7 Nazareth. The winners of Wednesday's contests will advance to the semifinals hosted by Rochester on Friday, Dec. 4. The consolation semifinals will be played at Roberts Wesleyan on Friday.
This will be Hobart's 32nd appearance in the Wendy's College Classic. The Statesmen are 34-52 all-time in the tournament, winning the 2011-12 title. Hobart finished seventh last season.
The Statesmen (3-1) are looking to rebound from their first loss of the season against the Division II Red Hawks (0-3). The two schools met in the first round last season as well with Roberts Wesleyan producing a 67-60 victory. It will be the 41st all-time meeting with Hobart holding a 28-12 series lead, including a 13-3 mark in Bristol Gym.

Jamal Lucas leads the Statesmen in scoring (21.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg). First-year guards
Sean McKinless and
Colin Dougherty add 11.5 ppg and 10.5 ppg, respectively. Junior guard
Pete Drescher contributes team-highs in assists (2.8 apg) and steals (2.5 spg).
Hobart has made 44 3-pointers this season, converting 42.7 percent of its long-range tries. The Hobart season records for 3-point success are 223 makes (2014-15) and .408 (1999-2000). Projected out over a 25-game season, this year's squad is on pace to make 275 triples.
Roberts Wesleyan is coming off an 86-82 home loss to Adelphi on Nov. 28. Senior guard Tyrel Dixon leads the Redhawks in scoring (24.0 ppg) and rebounding (7.3 rpg).
Brockport (2-0) is coming off an 83-82 win at Farmingdale State on Nov. 24. Rochester (4-2) aims to rebound from a 55-54 loss to Oswego earlier today.
