William Smith College will host two opening round games of the 32nd annual Wendy's College Classic. On Tuesday, Dec. 1, SUNY Geneseo and RIT will square off in the first contest at 6 p.m. followed by the Herons against Roberts Wesleyan College at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for general admission, $2 for students, senior citizens, and veterans. Children under 8 are admitted free.
Nazareth will host the other two opening round games, St. John Fisher vs. Brockport and Rochester vs. Nazareth. The winners of Tuesday's contests will advance to the semifinals hosted by Rochester on Thursday, Dec. 3. The consolation semifinals will be played at Roberts Wesleyan on Thursday.
This will be William Smith's 11th appearance in the Wendy's College Classic. The Herons are 23-7 all-time in the tournament, winning four titles (1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98, 1999-2000). William Smith finished seventh last season.
William Smith (1-3) will be looking to halt a two-game slide against the unbeaten Red Hawks (5-0). This will be the first meeting between the two schools since the Herons posted a 79-74 win in the first round of the 2012 Wendy's College Classic in Geneva.

Gabrielle Eure is averaging a double-double through the first four games of the season with team-highs of 12.0 ppg and 11.0 rpg. First-year forward
Mia Morrison and junior guard
Melanie Patterson add 11.3 ppg and 10.0 ppg, respectively.
William Smith has dominated the glass this season, sporting a plus-12.7 rebounding margin, but have struggled to hold onto the ball (-13.0 turnover margin).
Roberts Wesleyan is coming off a 79-76 home win over Le Moyne on Nov. 24. The Redhawks' lineup features four players averaging double digit points, led by senior forward Samantha Courtney's 18.8 ppg and 11.0 rpg.
Geneseo (2-1) is coming off a 70-66 win at Vassar on Nov. 24. RIT (3-0) hasn't played since beating Hamilton 64-56 on the road on Nov. 20.
