ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – The William Smith College tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to Calvin in Florida this afternoon. The Herons are now 4-3 overall this season.
 
The Knights (4-2) rallied to win the match after falling behind 2-1 at the conclusion of doubles play. Junior Hannah More and sophomore Michaelann Denton edged Calvin's Ellie Benzel and Claire Spoelhof 9-8. The win was More and Denton's 10th of the season and fourth in a row. At No. 2, first-year Alex Greenberg and junior Katarina Kostovic cruised to an 8-0 victory.  Greenberg and Kostovic are 4-1 at No. 2 doubles this spring.
 
At No. 2 singles, Greenberg notched a straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, victory over Spoelhof. Denton cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Bouma.
 
William Smith will conclude its spring break trip on Friday when they take on Minnesota Morehead. The match is scheduled to begin at noon.
