TROY, N.Y.-The William Smith College tennis team closed out the road portion of its season with a 6-3 win over Rensselaer on the Sharp Courts this afternoon. The win improves the Herons to 10-7 overall and 3-3 in the Liberty League.

Katarina Kostovic collected William Smith's doubles point after knocking off Erica Frommer and Mailani Neal 8-4 at No. 2. Greenberg and Kostovic are now 8-3 in the middle of the lineup this season.
The Herons rallied to clinch the match with five singles victories. Junior
Hannah More notched her 10th straight singles win at No. 1, beating Frommer 6-0, 6-3. More is now a team-best 18-4 on the season, including a 14-2 mark in the top spot. Sophomore
Michaelann Denton gave William Smith a 3-2 lead with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Melanie Frank at No. 3. Denton is now 15-5 on the season, including an 11-1 mark at No. 3. First-year
Sydney Ferry bested Neal, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5. Fellow first-year
Connie Froass clinched the overall match at No. 6, defeating Nisha Rajamohan, 7-5, 2-6, 6-2. Kostovic added a singles point for the Herons at No. 4.
Today's win puts William Smith in control of its postseason destiny heading into the season finale. At 3-3 in conference play, the Herons move into the fourth spot in the conference standings and can clinch a postseason berth with a win over Union on May 1. The Herons can also clinch the postseason berth if RPI defeats the Dutchwomen on Friday.
