Statesmen host Sacred Heart in regular season finale

The Hobart College lacrosse team will play its final regular season home game on Saturday, April 30. The Statesmen host Sacred Heart for a Northeast Conference game on Boswell Field at noon.
 
Prior to the start of the contest, Hobart will honor the Class of 2016. Ryan Cochran, Gavin Llewellyn, Teddy Sisco, and Cooper Stefaniak have compiled more wins than any graduating class since 2005, leading the Statesmen to three straight Northeast Conference Tournament appearances.
 
Hobart enters the game with a 7-6 overall record and a 3-2 NEC mark. The Statesmen have clinched a spot in the four-team NEC tournament. St. Joseph's, Bryant and Robert Morris have also secured their spots in the tournament. The seeding will be determined by the outcomes of Saturday's league games.
 
Junior Frank Brown leads the Statesmen with 28 goals and 36 points. Junior Sean Donnelly has dished out a team-high nine assists. Sophomore Andrew Spallanzani leads the team with 37 ground balls and has won 56 percent of his faceoffs. Junior Arik Andreen has produced a team-high 20 caused turnovers, which is tied for third on Hobart's single season list. Junior Jackson Brown is sporting a 9.79 goals against average, a .504 save percentage and a 7-6 record.
 
Sacred Heart brings a 2-13 overall record and an 0-5 mark in the NEC to Geneva. Brian Masi leads the Pioneers with 14 assists and 34 points. Masi, Alex Dodge and Max Tuttle share the team-high with 20 goals. Mike Calvagna has picked up a team-high 44 ground balls and Ryan O'Donoghue leads the way with 34 caused turnovers. Greg Price has played the majority of minutes in goal. He's sporting an 11.91 goals against average and a .500 save percentage.
