Game time moved up for William Smith soccer at Messiah

The No. 4 William Smith College soccer team will travel to take on No. 3 Messiah College on Saturday, Sept. 10. The game time has been moved up to 10:30 a.m., due to the high temperatures forecasted for Gratham, Pa., in the afternoon.
 
The Herons bring a 3-0-0 record to Messiah. Senior Kara Shue, the reigning Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week, leads William Smith with 11 points on four goals and three assists. Sophomore Kaileen Murray has played the majority of minutes in goal. She's sporting a 0.80 goals against average and a .600 save percentage.
 
The Falcons bring a 2-1-0 record into Saturday's contest. Messiah is coming off a 2-1 victory at Johns Hopkins on Wednesday.  Marisa Weaver and Brooke Firestone lead the team with five points each, both recording two goals and an assist. Sara Yunez has played every minute in goal. She has a 1.00 goals against average and a .700 save percentage.
 
The Falcons hold a 4-1-3 lead in the series with the Herons. Last season, the teams battled to a 1-1 double overtime tie in Geneva.
