CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Hobart College squash team defeated Tufts 5-4 this morning to earn a spot in the Conroy Cup championship match. The Statesmen, who are ranked No. 25 in the most recent College Squash Association Rankings, will face Wesleyan tomorrow morning for the Conroy Cup.

Today was the first meeting since 2013 between Hobart (9-13) and the 28th-ranked Jumbos (14-9). The Statesmen will face No. 26 Wesleyan, which defeated No. 27 Bowdoin 5-4 in its semifinal, tomorrow at 9 a.m. at Harvard's Murr Center. Hobart and the Cardinals will meet for the first time since Jan. 23, 2016, when Wesleyan defeated the Statesmen 6-3 in Middletown, Conn.

Josh Oakley clinched the overall victory for Hobart in the No. 1 spot with an 11-1, 11-7, 11-5 win over Tufts' Alan Litman. The win improved Oakley to 10-9 on the season. Juniors

Jack Shannon, and
Divine Wing all won 3-0 at Nos. 3-5, respectively. Rose defeated Brett Raskopf, 11-7, 11-1, 11-7 for his team-leading 11th win of the season. Shannon topped Braden Chiulli 11-0, 11-5, 11-9 and Wing swept Connor Wind 11-7, 11-9, 11-7. First-year
Cristian Escalona defeated Imran Trehan 11-5, 8-11, 12-10, 11-1 at No. 8. The win was Escalona's seventh of the season.

The Jumbos won 3-2 at No. 2 and No. 6 and 3-1 at No 7 and No. 9.
