The Hobart College lacrosse team will travel to Colgate University for a non-conference showdown on Wednesday, March 8. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

The contest will be the 65th all-time meeting between the Central New York rivals. The series began in 1921 with a 3-1 Hobart victory. The Statesmen own a 50-12-2 record against the Raiders, but Colgate has won four of the past five meetings, including a 7-6 decision in Geneva last year.

Colgate is 1-3 overall. The Raiders are led by junior attackman Anthony Abbadessa's 12 points on a team-high nine goals and three assists. Sophomore attackman Sam Cleveland and first-year attackman Nicky Petkevich share team-high honors with five assists apiece. In goal, senior Brandon Burke has played all but 70 seconds this season and has a .532 save percentage and an 11.05 GAA.

The Hobart-Colgate game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 7, but frigid temperatures over the weekend forced both teams to push back Saturday games to Sunday. The Statesmen and Raiders agreed to the postponement to maintain the original two days between games.
