The start times of tonight's Hobart and William Smith Colleges basketball games against Bard College have been moved up one hour due to the winter storm that is forecast to impact the region. With the updated schedule, the Herons will take on the Raptors at 5 p.m. with the Statesmen and Raptors tipping off at 7 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning, predicting widespread accumulating snow and ice will create dangerous travel conditions overnight.
William Smith (6-6, 0-5) will play its first home conference game of the season against Bard (0-10, 0-4). The Herons are led by junior forward
Mia Morrison. The Geneva native is second in the Liberty League in scoring (18.0 ppg), rebounding (8.5 rpg) and field goal percentage (.456). The Raptors are paced by Caleigh DeCaprio, who averages 9.1 ppg with team highs of 16 assists and 13 steals.
Hobart (9-3, 4-1) is off to its best start since 2011-12. The Statesmen, who are tied for first in the league, have four players averaging double figures. Junior guard
Colin Dougherty leads the quartet with 14.8 ppg and 3.1 apg. Bard (4-7, 2-2) has a pair of scoring leaders in Justyn Rogers and David Runcie, who both produce 14.7 ppg.
