GENEVA, N.Y.—The start time of the Hobart College lacrosse game on Saturday, March 3 against Binghamton University has been pushed back due to the winter storm that is approaching the Northeast. To allow the grounds crew more time to remove snow from Boswell Field the opening faceoff is now set for 2 p.m.

A winter storm watch is in effect for Geneva and surrounding areas for Friday. Forecasters are predicting 5 to 8 inches of snow.

Tickets are $5 for general admission, $2 for children 12 and under.

The game will be the 13th all-time meeting between the Statesmen and Bearcats with Hobart holding a 7-5 series lead. The Statesmen are 5-1 all-time against BU in Geneva. The Bearcats prevailed 12-6 in last season's showdown in Vestal.

Both teams enter the weekend looking for their first win. Hobart is 0-3 following last week's 15-8 loss at Cornell, while Binghamton is 0-4 after suffering an 8-7 loss at Marist on Sunday.

The Statesmen are led offensively by sophomore
Eric Holden and junior
Chris Aslanian. Holden leads Hobart with eight goals, six assists and 14 points. Aslanian is second in all three categories with six goals and five assists for 11 points. He enters the weekend with 97 career points. Since the Statesmen joined Division I in 1995, only 11 players have scored 100 career points. Junior
Matthew Pedicine has won 63.2 percent of his faceoffs this year.

The Bearcats' leading scorer, Stephen Petrelli, also has 14 points on 11 goals and three assists. BU's top faceoff man is Austin Macchi, who has won 45.6 percent of his faceoffs while grabbing a team-high 13 ground balls.
