Ryan Archer was named the Northeast Conference Men's Lacrosse Co-Rookie of the Week by the league office today. Sophomore
Justin Scott was also honored as one of the NEC's Prime Performers.

On Saturday, Archer notched his second career hat trick as Hobart picked up its first win of the season, beating Binghamton 17-6. He scored an extra-man goal to tie the game at 1 midway through the first quarter and then scored twice in the third quarter, giving the Statesmen leads of 11-3 and 12-4.

The only Statesmen first-year to start all four games this season, Archer is third on the team in assists (3) and points (9) and fourth in goals (6).

Scott scored a career-high five goals and notched a career-high six points against the Bearcats. He had at least one point in every quarter. Scott also scooped up a pair of ground balls and caused a turnover.

Through four games, Scott has seven goals, an assist, five ground balls and a caused turnover. The native of Mississauga, Ontario, has 41 points on 36 goals and five assists through the first 20 games of his collegiate career.

Hobart (1-3) is back in action on Tuesday, March 6, when the Statesmen host Colgate University (3-2). Faceoff on Boswell Field is scheduled for 4 p.m. Admission for all fans is free.

The game will be the 66th all-time meeting between Hobart and Colgate. The Statesmen lead the series 50-13-2, including a 30-5-1 record in Geneva. However, the Raiders have had the upper hand of late, winning five of the past six meetings.
