Hobart lacrosse heads to DC to face #18 Hoyas

The Hobart College lacrosse team is headed to Washington, D.C., to take on No. 18 Georgetown University at Cooper Field. The Statesmen and Hoyas will face off at noon on Saturday, March 10.

The game will be broadcast live on WEOS-FM (89.5/90.3). Fans can also track the action with live stats and pay-per-view video on Georgetown's website.

The game will be the 19th between the two teams in a series that began in 1995. The Hoyas hold a 15-3 edge in the series, but the teams have split the past four contests.

Hobart has won each of its past two games to improve to 2-3 on the season. The Statesmen faced an 8-2 deficit after one quarter of play on Tuesday, but rallied for a 12-11 win over Colgate. Sophomore Justin Scott led the way with a career-high six goals, the most scored in a single game by a Division I Statesman.

Georgetown is one of only four undefeated teams left in Division I. The Hoyas upped their record to 5-0 with a 13-6 win over Marist on Tuesday. Daniel Bucaro and Jake Carraway share the team lead with 25 points apiece.

One family is sure to win regardless of the final score. Brothers Chris and Patrick Aslanian will square off for the third time today. Chris and the Statesmen won 10-9 in D.C. in 2016 while Patrick and the Hoyas got the win 16-6 last season in Victor, N.Y.
