Basketball doubleheader rescheduled for Jan. 22

The Hobart and William Smith Colleges basketball doubleheader against St. Lawrence University has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 22 in Bristol Gym. The games were originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, Jan. 19, but were postponed due to Winter Storm Harper.

William Smith and St. Lawrence will tipoff at 5 p.m. with Hobart and St. Lawrence to follow at 7 p.m.

Winners of five in a row, the Herons improved to 9-5 overall with a 71-33 victory over Clarkson on Friday. William Smith broke the program's single game record for rebounds by pulling down 69 against the Golden Knights. The Herons are 5-3 in conference play, tied for third place in the league standings. The Saints are 6-9 overall following a 72-51 setback at RIT last night. SLU is tied for seventh in the league standings at 3-5.

Hobart carries a three-game winning streak into its showdown with St. Lawrence. The Statesmen are 9-6 overall and sit in third place in the league with a 6-2 mark. Hobart earned a 78-67 win over Clarkson last night. The Saints lead the league with a 7-1 conference record after rallying past RIT 55-54 last night. SLU is 10-5 overall.
