Hobart College first-year
Jason Knox was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office today. It's the third time this season he has earned the award.
Knox scored a game-high four goals as the Statesmen downed Wagner 13-7 in their NEC opener on Saturday. He also scooped up two ground balls in the win. Knox ranks fourth in the nation in shot percentage (.633) and 15th in goals per game (3.17). He leads the Statesmen with 19 goals this season. Knox ranks third on the team with 21 points.
Hobart (5-1) will travel to take on Colgate (3-3) in a non-conference game on Tuesday, March 19. The opening faceoff is set for 4 p.m. The Statesmen are riding a three-game win streak and are receiving votes in the USILCA Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll this week.
Hobart ranks in the top 10 in the nation in seven statistical categories. The Statesmen are second in scoring offense (17.5 goals per game), points per game (28.67), assists per game (11.17) and scoring margin (6.17). Hobart ranks fourth in faceoff win percentage (.677), fifth in ground balls per game (39.0), and seventh in team win percentage (.833).

Sam Lucchesi has played the most minutes in goal. He has a 10.17 goals against average, a .536 save percentage and a 3-0 record.
Sam Cleveland leads Colgate with 18 points on 10 goals and eight assists. Nicky Petkevich has logged a team-high 14 goals and added two assists for 16 points. Malcom Feeney has picked up a team-high 26 ground balls. He is 53-for-109 at the faceoff X. Nick Salameda leads the Raiders with 10 caused turnovers. Connor Mullen has played the majority of minutes in goal and is sporting a 9.39 GAA, a .538 save percentage, and a 3-3 record.
