GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College Head Lacrosse Coach Greg Raymond recently announced the Statesmen will play a 13-game schedule in 2023, the program's first as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The slate will feature five home games, seven road contests and a neutral site showdown in Sparks, Maryland.

Hobart will open the season at home against Canisius Feb. 11. It will be the 23rd meeting between the I-90 rivals with the Statesmen holding a 21-1 series lead.

The team's first road trip will include former Patriot League rivals Lehigh (Feb. 18) and Colgate (Feb. 25).

Hobart returns home for the 140th showdown with Cornell Feb. 28. The most contested rivalry in collegiate lacrosse, the Statesmen will be looking for their first win over the Big Red since 2017.

The next road trip will also feature a former conference rival when Hobart heads to Robert Morris March 4. The former Northeast Conference teams will meet for the 12th time with the Statesmen holding a slim 6-5 lead.

On March 7, Darmouth will visit Boswell Field for the 13th all-time meeting with Hobart and first since 1996.

The Statesmen will face a Big East foe March 18, taking on Providence for the first time since 2009. The game will be played on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.

The Kraus-Simmons Trophy game will be March 25. The 108th showdown between Hobart and Syracuse will be played in the newly renamed JMA Wireless Dome.

The Statesmen will play their inaugural Atlantic 10 game on Boswell Field April 1, welcoming St. Bonaventure back to Geneva for the first time since 2019.

A week later, Hobart will visit High Point for the first meeting between the teams. Then on April 15 the Statesmen head to Saint Joseph's.

Senior Day will be April 22 when Hobart plays Richmond for the first time. It will also be Hall of Fame weekend, when the Statesmen enshrine a 10-man class that will include lacrosse greats Harold Draffen '75, Kevin Martin '81 and Scott Petosa '80.

Hobart's 121st varsity regular season will conclude at UMass on April 28. The Statesmen and Minutemen will renew their rivalry for the first time since 2009 when they were both members of the ECAC Lacrosse League.

The top four teams in the six-team A10 will compete in the conference tournament with the semifinals on May 4 and the championship on May 6 in Richmond, Virginia.
