The Hobart College basketball team will play its next four games on the road in a span of just five days. The Statesmen will kick off the trip Tuesday, Feb. 8 at St. Lawrence. The game against the Saints is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m.

The trip will continue at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 at Clarkson. The trip to the North Country was necessitated by the postponement of games originally scheduled for Jan. 21-22. The Statesmen will be off on Thursday, returning to competition at Union at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11. Hobart will head to Bard on Saturday for a 4 p.m. start.

Hobart (7-11, 4-7) is looking to build on Saturday's 80-70 win over Clarkson. The Statesmen had two players named to this week's Liberty League Honor Roll, junior forward
Jackson Meshanic and first-year guard
Aidan Rodgers.

Meshanic led Hobart in points, rebounds and assists last week, while shooting 62.5% from the floor. At Skidmore, he did not miss a shot from the floor, going 5-for-5 with a 3-pointer, corralled nine boards and doled out four assists. Against St. Lawrence, Meshanic recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. He wrapped up the week with his seventh double-double of the season, producing 27 points, 12 rebounds and three assists against the Golden Knights. Meshanic was 10-of-15 shooting and 7-of-8 at the free throw line against Clarkson. He finished the week with an impressive assist-to-turnover of 3.3.

A starter in 15 of 18 games this season, Meshanic is averaging 17.4 ppg, 8.9 rpg and 1.6 apg. He leads the Liberty League in scoring and field goal percentage (.580) and is third in the league in double-doubles and rebounding.

Rodgers made half of Hobart 18 3-pointers last week and was the Statesmen's second-leading scorer. He matched his career-high with 21 points, including a season-high matching four 3-pointers, at Skidmore. Against St. Lawrence, Rodgers finished with 10 points, four rebounds and three assists. He closed out the week with 13 points in the win over CU. For the week, he averaged 14.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.3 apg and shot 45% from 3-point range.

The only Statesman to start all 18 games this season, Rodgers is averaging 11.3 ppg, 3.1 rpg and 2.7 apg. He ranks in the top 25 in the league in 3-pointers made per game (10th, 1.9), assists (16th), and scoring (22nd).

St. Lawrence scored a 66-46 win over Hobart in Bristol Gym on Friday night. The Statesmen trailed by just four points with six minutes remaining, but the Saints scored the game's final 16 points to close out the victory. Hobart had won the previous three meetings between the teams. Overall, St. Lawrence leads the series 86-54.

Saturday's win over Clarkson extended Hobart's winning streak over the Golden Knights to 11 games. The Statesmen led by as many as 19 in the game and held off a late comeback try by CU. Hobart leads the all-time series 84-60, but the Golden Knights are 37-30 on their home floor.
