The nationally-ranked William Smith College lacrosse team continues its three-game homestand tomorrow, April 2, when it welcomes Skidmore College to Boswell Field at Urick Stadium for a Liberty League contest. The opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m.

This will be the 28th meeting between William Smith and Skidmore. The Herons hold a 23-4 advantage in the series, including a 14-2 mark in Geneva. William Smith has won seven straight games, but this will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2019.

The Herons are 7-1 overall this season with a 2-0 mark in Liberty League play. William Smith is coming off a 16-9 victory over 25th-ranked St. John Fisher Wednesday afternoon. The Herons enter the weekend averaging 14.25 goals per game. William Smth's defense leads the Liberty League allowing a mere 7.50 goals per game.

Maddie Montgomery who each have 34 points. Montgomery has 28 goals and six assists while McGinty has eight goals and 26 assists. McGinty leads the Liberty League and is 12th in the nation averaging 3.25 assists per game.
Anna Murphy is right behind them with 30 points on 22 goals and eight assists.
Molly Davis has a team-best 43 draw controls.

Payton McMahon share the team lead with 13 caused turnovers.

Maura Smeader has played the majority of the minutes in goal. She is 7-1 with a 7.47 goals against average and a .480 save percentage. She leads the Liberty League and is 26th in the nation in GAA.

Skidmore is 2-5 this season and is 2-1 in conference play. The Thoroughbreds are coming off a 13-6 victory over Vassar on Wednesday. Gabriella Modesti leads the team with 27 points on 13 goals and 14 assists. Lily Schwartzman has also tallied 13 goals. Liv Kazanjian has a team best 19 ground balls and Elizabeth Walsh leads with 18 draw controls. Kazanjian has played the majority of minutes in goal. She is 2-5 with a 13.26 goals against average and a .517 save percentage.
