The William Smith lacrosse team was ranked 14th in the nation in the final Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll of the year. The Herons were ranked in every poll this year, peaking at No. 5 in the final two polls of the regular season.

William Smith finished the year with a 17-3 overall record and qualified for the NCAA tournament for the 10th straight year. It was the Herons' 26th overall appearance. William Smith went 10-0 in Liberty League play, capturing the regular season and tournament titles.

The Herons were first in the nation in clearing percentage (.918). In addition, William Smith was second in the nation in turnovers per game (12.20), sixth in winning percentage (.850), seventh in draw control percentage (.644), 19th in scoring defense (7.00), 22nd in draw controls per game (14.85) and 25th in scoring margin (+ 7.30). Sypeck was named an IWLCA first team All-American on Friday. She was joined on the All-Empire region team by Fiore and juniors
