GENEVA, N.Y.—The 14th-ranked William Smith College Squash team defeated Hamilton College and Mount Holyoke College at the Smith Squash Center this afternoon. The Herons have won seven straight matches.

- William Smith is now 12-2 overall this season.
- The Continentals are 0-7 on the season.

- Against the Continentals, the Herons earned six of their points in 3-0 sweeps. Their other two points were 3-2 victories.
- In the match with Mount Holyoke, the Herons had seven 3-0 sweeps.
MATCH MOMENTS
- In the No. 1 spot, junior Rafaela Albuja Sanchez was 2-0. She beat Hamilton's Hamilton's Eliana Good, 11-6, 11-5, 11-6, and Mount Holyoke's Habiba Abouelatta, 11-3, 11-4, 11-7. Albuja Sanchez is 12-2 on the season, playing all 14 matches at No. 1.
- Junior Laila Selim won both of her matches to improve to 10-4 on the year. Selim lost only nine points against Mount Holyoke.
- Senior Marce Marquez Martinez improved to 11-3 on the season with her two sweeps at No. 3.
- Sophomore Anna O'Connor improved her winning streak to 11 matches with a pair of sweeps. She is 13-1 on the season.
- Junior Jada Smith-Padmore also posted a pair of 3-0 wins at No. 6. With the two wins, she is 11-3 on the year.
- In the match against Hamilton, junior Lark Ervasti swept Katie Hodulik, 11-3, 11-8, 11-6. She is 7-4 on the season.
- Against Mount Holyoke, junior Kristen McCormick won 11-3, 11-5, 11-8 at No. 7.
- In one of the closest matches of the day, first-year Jessica Finnerty edged Hamilton's Gainsley Korengold, 11-9, 2-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-7. Finnerty is 5-5 on the season.

William Smith will be back in action next Saturday, Jan. 28, when it welcomes Colby to the Smith Squash Center. The match is slated to begin at 6 p.m.
