Former William Smith squash player Jada Smith-Padmore '24, MSM'26, was recently named a senior coach at Squash on Fire in Washington, D.C.
 
A four-year member of the Herons' squash team, Smith-Padmore earned first team All-Liberty League honors following the 2025-26 season. Playing at the No. 1 position, she compiled seven wins on the year. Smith-Padmore closed out her career with a pair of 3-0 sweeps at the College Squash Association Divisional Championships. Smith-Padmore won 41 matches during her career. Additionally, she earned All-Liberty League recognition in 2023-24. She helped the Herons capture back-to-back Liberty League Championships in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
 
A finalist for the 2026 Arthur Ashe Jr. Female Sports Scholar of the Year, Smith-Padmore represented Barbados at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She has been a member of the Barbados national team since 2016 and was the 2020 Barbados women's squash champion.  
 
At Squash on Fire, Smith-Padmore will focus on developing confident, well-rounded players who genuinely enjoy the game. She will help athletes refine their technique, sharpen their skills and build the confidence and discipline needed to succeed on the squash court.
 
Squash on Fire is a membership-free squash facility in the West End of Washington D.C. The organization offers programming for all ages and skill levels, serving as a hub for training and competition. It features high-quality coaching, fitness programs and wellness services aimed at fostering skill development and community engagement in the sport.
